History
Experian FootFall was started in the UK in 1991 when it pioneered the now well established method of using overhead video cameras to count people. Since then they have grown to be the market leader in retail pedestrian traffic monitoring systems and operate in more than 23 countries.
Philosophy
FootFall’s aim is to help turn a client’s basic count data into informed decision making. By providing clients with information based on pedestrian traffic flows in an easy to use format, we endeavour to help them increase their understanding of their business.

Experian FootFall’s team is equipped to provide a totally integrated turnkey solution for our clients. From our highly qualified project managers and engineers, through to our leading edge software development and information reporting teams, everyone is aligned to the client’s goal.
Data is checked for accuracy and consistency using highly developed proprietary software and analysis tools. The data is then stored in a highly secure Oracle data warehouse.
Reporting
Experian FootFall reports are made available to clients via the Internet. Using the advanced Business Objects reporting package, the data can be analysed in any number of ways to ensure it can be used to maximise marketing and operational effectiveness.
Indices
Experian FootFall produces a range of indices to help clients assess how their business is performing against a national average, as well as giving an insight into how the markets, as a whole, are performing.
Indices are available for:
