The Experian FootFall National Retail Daily Index for New Year’s Eve 2013 showed a 3.6% decline like for like against New Year’s Eve 2012.  New Year’s Day also showed a decline year on year of 7.5% against 1st Jan 2013.   Both days suffered considerably from adverse weather with high winds and rain which could have impacted on the numbers of consumers venturing out to shop, especially on New Year’s Eve as this day experienced particularly poor conditions across the county.
