Experian FootFall commentary for the week commencing the 14th July 2014

WEEK201429The Experian FootFall National Retail Index is reporting an improvement of +0.8% Week-on-Week.  The Year-on-Year figures are reporting a decline of -1.1%. The weekend is reporting positive growth of +1.9%.

The year-to-date trend has declined slightly to -0.2%. Whilst a decline, this continues to report better YTD performance compared to last year where it was reporting at -4.4%.

The Experian FootFall Regional Index reports that 4 out of 11 regions are showing an improvement in year-on-year retail traffic, Scotland is reporting the highest growth at +2.0%. Six out of 11 regions are reporting positive growth over the weekend Year-On-Year.

Within Retail Parks, the Experian FootFall Index is reporting a Year-on-Year decline of -1.4%. The Week-on-Week statistics are reporting an improvement of +1.6%. The weekend also showed an improvement of +3.6% Year-On-Year. Overall the YTD trend continues to report positive growth at +3.5%.
