The results are in for Experian FootFall’s Euro Shopper Trends Report tracking footfall changes across the major European countries. In quarter 1 2014, we saw an increasing proliferation of smartphone sales across the continent driving a major threat to retail footfall. However, in quarter 2, it was a television, not a phone related, threat: the World Cup had a negative impact on footfall across Europe, with most regions recording their worst monthly performance during June.
