As the school holidays get into full swing and commuters feel the benefit of quieter roads the national Index from Experian FootFall shows a 0.2% week on week increase in shopper visits. The changeable week of weather may have also contributed to the increase in visits to our shopping centres and high streets. The UK national retail index showed a decline of 2.7% year on year.
Three of the 11 regions showed a positive increase year on year with the highest performing region being the Eastern region showing a 3.4% increase year on year.
The Experian FootFall Index for Retail Parks again shows an increase of retail traffic of 1.6% year on year with a positive increase of 3.8% week on week as this sector continues to show positive footfall results.
