Bid for a Better Bankside

We were thrilled to be chosen by Better Bankside, the Business Improvement District (BID) covering Borough Market, the Menier Chocolate Factory and the Tate Modern, to analyse patterns of visitor traffic to the area.

Better Bankside is the third BID in the country, the second in London and the first south of the river. It seeks to improve the areas commercial activity and has enrolled Experian FootFall in support of this.

Members of Better Bankside can use our figures to determine a visitor baseline by time of day, plan promotions to exploit opportunities and track their effectiveness. The BID team, which works to regenerate the area, is also finding the figures useful to support local walking and cycling initiatives.

Louise Errington, marketing and events manager for Better Bankside, remarked, “We’ve had fantastic feedback from our members and have already identified an opportunity to further capitalise on the number of visitors the area has in the evenings.”
